The inside of the Gingerbread Cottage in the peaceful village of Bellevue is just like a storybook 'Gramma's house'. Everything is comfortable, clean and practical with cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, standard small appliances, and cookware with ample glassware, dinnerware and cutlery and table seating. The home is supplied with basic non-perishable seasonings, starter paper products and soaps, and cleaning supplies.
The leather living room furniture seats six comfortably and includes a new flat-screen, high-definition TV with satellite reciever and DVD recorder/player. A secure high-speed wireless network is available for guests who can't bear parting with their laptops.
Sleeping arrangements include two bedrooms on the main floor - one with a queen bed and the other with two single beds - and an upstairs room with a double bed, a single bed, and a secret hideaway play area that can double as extra sleeping space for children (bring your own sleeping bags). The main floor bedrooms each have their own TV and DVD player and the attic room has a DVD player. There are a selection of children's toys, games and books in the attic bedroom and a small library of paperbacks, boardgames and DVDs in other areas of the home. The small but efficient 4-piece bathroom on the main floor and the laundry centr in the basement are both discreetly located away from sleeping, dining and visiting areas.
The large yard features delightful flower gardens with a beautiful crab-apple tree shading the patio table and other and mature leafy trees bordering the yard. A circular wooden patio with an enclosed fire pit allows guest to safely experience the joy of an evening campfire. Early risers are often rewarded with a close-up view of some mule deer stopping on their way through the year to help themselves to a snack of crabapples or rhubarb leaves. Guests of all ages will enjoy playing croquet or bocce ball and children can revel in the simple pleasure of dancing through the sprinkler on a hot afternoon.
